A Stinky Situation

Description

Harold Häas has recently been visited by two strange young women in the last few days. The women claimed they worked for the Glen U school paper and wanted to do an article on him and his art collection (remember guys, Harold's official job is Arts Dealer). The first visit was ok, and seemed to be a run of the mill journalism assignment. But when they came back asking follow-up questions and "excusing themselves" to the bathroom frequently, Harold started having doubts. With reason.

Those two students were actually two superheroines who tried to steal back one of Harold's illegitimate possessions: a very powerful Ovyan amulet. So, one night, when his manor was (of course, only seemingly) unguarded, he once more received the visit of the girls, in their superhero personas this time. Indeed, Besiath and CounterWeight "infiltrated" his manor but found him waiting for them, and ready for a fight.

The women fought the supervillain as best as they could. CounterWeight's control of gravity proved a very powerful asset, as were Besiath's magical tricks and spells, but in the end, they wound up making the same rookie mistake every superhero does when fighting Harold for the first time: They got too close to him. Close enough to feel (and literally smell) the wrath of his ungodly halitosis. Having knocked out CounterWeight, who had almost made out with the Ovyan artifact, Häas now finishes the job... by which I mean he's finishing off Besiath. Who knows what'll happen to those two superheroines now?

I just want to point out that in any realistic situation, I find fighting, or even hitting women utterly ungentlemanly and just plain uncivilized, as is fighting in general.

Here's a little bit of info on Besiath and CounterWeight before I post their full bios. Besiath is a disciple of Zenophyn, a magical deity who grants his worshippers a part of his powers in exchange for a life of devotion to resolving conflicts and maintaining world order. Besiath's spells are usually cast using her scepter (design pending, hence why it's not in this drawing). Those spells enchance her combat skills, and give her the power to use a beam of pure energy through her scepter. My initial design of her included a cape. And honestly, that cape might come back. CounterWeight's backstory is pretty dark. But we'll get to that eventually. After a heavy and particularly lucid acid trip, she realized she had the power to control the gravity around her. She went from street bum to superhero in days, wanting to use her power for good, and to get herself off the streets (she had no home). CounterWeight was introduced to the Fortress Of Fortitude by Fourstrings, who saw her powers in action first hand. She is now a regular member of the Fortress, and has followed intense scholarships to catch up with what she'd miss while she was on the street. I wasn't sure about the stretches on her ears at first, but then I thought it added colour to the character.

As usual, tell me what you think! And yes, I'll draw a scenario where the heroes actually win for once. Soon.

Always loved the expressions, I though it'S been a while since I last mentionned them :P

And be careful about the girl on the floor - for someone ou fainted, she looks a bit too tensed and crisped! (especially the feet)
