Description

Going to the gym early often means being the only person there. The peace of mind that came with working out alone was Marcus' motivation to do his workout in the wee hours of the morning. Things took a strange turn one day, as he noticed he wasn't alone. Indeed, a portly afroamerican woman was also present, talking loudly on her cellphone and smoking?! Inside the gym?! Marcus couldn't believe someone would have so little respect not only for their own bodies, but for the well-being of all other members of the gym... At the moment, that only meant himself though... With confrontational courage, the young man walked up to the lady and told her off, inviting her to take her disgusting habit outside. But the woman just calmly laughed and told him, in a disturbingly soothing voice, that there was nothing to worry about, that he should calm down. After all, high blood pressure and working out don't mesh well, she argued. Now she was mocking him?! Marcus rose his voice, ready to scream the woman out of the gym, but as the first word reached the threshold of his lips, she pursed hers, kissing the young man on the cheek... Marcus' eyes widened... His entire body was unwinding... In fact, his legs seemed to have more and more trouble supporting his weight... When the woman pulled away, it was as if her lips had been the only thing keeping the young man standing. With a thud, Marcus fell on his back. How could a simple kiss on the cheek turn him into such a cartoonish mess?

As the young man struggled to remain conscious, the woman kept smoking. Marcus would eventually tell on her... He knew he had to. Just... not now, as he couldn't muster the strength to get off the floor...

It's been a while since I've drawn Loretta without her fur coat and hat. And as such, I decided to give her a new haircut... As it turns out, short, spiky layered hairdos are not an easy thing to pull off convincingly. For a while it looked like she had a hedgehog carcass on her scalp. And then, handling the forehead/hairline was an entire mess in its own right. But I'm proud of the results. Although, for reference, I will say her hair is supposed to look like Rosa's from Condemned: Criminal Origins. I don't have a whole lot to say on Marcus here, besides that he's taken to wear coloured contacts in public to hide his identity.
