Video Game Idea - Game Over

This is a pretty weird idea I had on my mind for a while. A character named Johnny Lobster is the protagonist of a video game that happens in his mind. By which, I mean it would be a video game, and the character in the game, is lost in his mind. The antagonist would hypnotize him and making him lose his grip on reality, but a part of him is determined to break free of the villain's hypnosis. Thus, the player would be Johnny's "mind-self", so to speak, entering levels like Imagination, Memory, Fears, stuff like that, to collect the lost gears of his mind. When enough gears would be collected (similar to stars in Super Mario) the player would snap out of hypnosis and fight the villain. The little lightnings would act as coins. Forgot to mention: The game would be a platformer in the style of Super Mario 64, Banjo-Kazooie and so on.

This scene would happen in the first level. Childhood memories of cartoons left unattended created this weird cartoon-esque universe, where the characters are all after Johnny. The main bad guys in this level are the little smudgy purple gumdrops. I call them Splotches (splotch if there's only one). Their monarch, King Skwiish (with two "i"s, that was intentionnal), rules this level, and you obtain one of the gears by defeating him. There would be multiple gears per level.

Anyways, other bad guys would included disgruntled Looney Tunes lookalike, like this skunk. There'd also be bunnys, ducks, coyotes, the whole damn list. Each enemy would attack differently of course, but since it's just the first level, they'd all be pretty easy. Unlike what poor Johnny here seems to think. What's worse, it seems Johnny carelessly entered the level without enough lives! Now, he's Game Over, and trust me, being Game Over really stinks (...get it?)! And he was SO close to a heart too!

Tried a different style of anatomy here. Went a little more cartoony. It was fun.
