Fourstrings



The main protagonist, Marcus Keith Bassman's motivation to rid city of crime stems in his desire to elucidate the murder of African ambassador Nsia Okondo, who was under his care when she died in the explosion of her limousine. Diplomatic disasters were abound after her death, and while Fourstrings was still in his hospital bed, he was recruited to become an agent of the F.L.O.O.D. to investigate the ambassador's murder. Scarred both physically and mentally by the explosion, Bassman was more than determined to see the investigation through. What he and the other members of the F.L.O.O.D. uncover, however, rapidly slides out of hand and plunges the world into a state of chaos and confusion. Armed with his bass string gauntlets, Fourstrings will follow a path few care to ever thread...

Kingsaim



After his wife was brutally killed by the Chessmaster's goons, ex-Navy S.E.A.L. Christopher Zachlin disappeared from the world. He returned one year later, under the pseudonym "Kingsaim". At first, Zachlin appeared as a vigilante, but was soon approached by the government-sanctionned organization, F.L.O.O.D., to use his gunsmanship to protect "invaluable" individuals. Zachlin was promised by the F.L.O.O.D.'s recruiters he would, in time, get to exect his long-planned vengence against the Chessmaster...

Nothing is more a hallmark of the Phyxia name than turning mishaps into opportunities. Ashley's father was a run-down mechanic, but his faith turned and he became a billionaire! Heiress to the Phyxia fortune, Ashley didn't really need to study in chemistry, but she did so anyways. Until an incident turned her hair into cigarette ashes, constantly exuding smoke. She moved to Glenmetropolis to leave Great Britain's judging eyes over her condition, and be embraced by a city tailor-made for the unconventionnal. She set up shop in the heart of the city, expanding her business acumen through out-of-price fashion clothing and accessories. But her true motives are still thickly veiled...

Call him a crook, a thief or a bastard, he doesn't mind - Eyal Berkovic won't stop. Half-shark mutant or not, this businessman plays dirty and fights dirty. His nickname came to be because of his rather... "unconventionnal" ways to loan (and extort) money. Owning a legitimate business isn't good enough for this rather terrifying monster of a man - money and power must come to him at all cost. Well, at the lowest cost, but always makes sure he gets that cost. Fraudulent, power-hungry and remorseless, the Loan Shark won't stop until he owns the world...

Very few people are aware of V'bozakai's existance. Only three groups do - the Russian agents who captured him, his collegue and his ship over 45 years ago, the scientist he now works with (in hiding) in Glenmetropolis, and elite agents of the F.L.O.O.D. who monitor his life, unsure wether to treat him as friend or foe. Truth is, V'bozakai was on a scientific endevour, which is now put to an indefinite halt as he tries to elucidate one mystifying question - what is so important on Earth that his people would send a full scouting crew to "analyse its fauna and flora"? What are the Raykin really searching for...?

Once a very respected actress and model, Agatha Fosco was killed when she witnessed a few mobsters kill a man in cold blood. She was revived by the Order of Saatra, a group of necromancers, Agatha was bestowed some of the necromantic powers that brought her back to life. Now working with the S.M.O.G., the necromancer juggles with the forces of Life and Death to defend Glenmetropolis from the thralls of murderers, criminals and terrorists who there lurk. More of a loner than a team player, Agatha will be forced to join with the forces of the F.L.O.O.D. as the threads of fate reveal a dread future for the city...

BioNicole



As accomplished a bio-engineer as she is a hacker, BioNicole decided to join the F.L.O.O.D. after losing her right arm to the Chessmaster. The young woman, with an IQ of 163, is a genius, plain and simple. She dedicates her work in bionics and digital technologies to make sure criminals like the Chessmaster get what's coming to them - judgment. Not usually one for violence, Nicole usually stays in the F.L.O.O.D. headquarters, monitoring the ongoing missions. But if she has to, she will gladly throw down...

The dreaded evil that looms over Glenmetropolis, The Chessmaster, keeps his cards up close. No one really knows his motives, but the Scottish criminal mastermind has caused more deaths and injuries in Glenmetropolis than anything else conceivable by the human mind. Alive for well over four and a half centuries, this powerful mage has become very active lately, in the wake of the F.L.O.O.D.'s decision to take him down for good. Or could something else have caught the attention of this power-hungry sociopath? All those deaths he caused must have some sort of purpose...

Farai Gables' dream of becoming a renown jazz singer went down the drain when she became a guinea pig for the F.L.O.O.D.'s Genetic Engineering program. She was imbued with the powers of generating and controlling cold, but at a high cost - for the rest of her life, she would depend on Epystecine, a government-issued drug, to stay alive. Her loyalty towards the F.L.O.O.D. doesn't falter in spite of her condition, although she does hold a deep, painful grudge against the people who stripped her of her wellness. As long as she lives, she will fight for good. However long this might be...

Stomp has a total disregard for mainstream crimes. She wants to live. She wants to be where the action is. As a child, Sandra Trenaway was stuck in a wheelchair due to localized dystrophy. But not anymore. And now, undertaking this new persona, she wants to make Glenmetropolis feel as inapt and sheltered as she was. She wants to get revenge for all those years she spent, unable to do more than read and watch television. Soon recruited by A. S. Phyxia, Sandra's quest for vengeance will lead her to unexpected choices...

Red Reflex



Son of world-renown explorer Randolph Radwick, Red Reflex was just average man, until he gained total situational awareness and heightened reflexes while travelling through the treacherous Tabrir El-Solmhed desert. After gaining his newfound skills, Rufus Radwick withdrew from public life, sheltering himself in his mansion and devoting most of his time to research on the source of his powers. Nearly a decade has passed since, and now, Red Reflex finally steps out of the shadows and into Glenmetropolis, bracing himself for something he feels will challenge his survival skills in more than one way...

That's all for the moment. Of course, some other important characters (i.e. Fourstrings) will be a part of the story. I just haven't fully redesigned them all yet. I'm still trying to make other characters fit, giving them roles, etc... It's getting somewhere.

Also, who would be interested in reading Glenmetropolis? I'm thinking the story would make a better "novel" than comic. Let me know what you guys think!
